We connected our Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch with Retina Display testbed to an HDMI monitor through the Thunderbolt Station 2, and it gave us options to extend the desktop or mirror the laptop's screen. The dock can alternately be used to connect a mini DisplayPort or HDMI display. You can connect up to two Apple Thunderbolt displays, either daisy-chained through the dock, or using the second Thunderbolt port on a MacBook Pro.
